Our Speakers: Karee Keyser, City of Redlands Recycling Coordinator will cover Redlands’ recycling program- what and how much is recycled, kitchen waste recycling, ways to reduce waste, why it is so important to reduce waste. Robert Rios of Burrtec, the City of Redlands’ mixed recyclables processing contractor will share information on where our mixed recyclables are taken, how they’re sorted, and what is actually recycled, as well as a demonstration of processed recyclables. Dick Corneille, ANCA Board of Directors will discuss our overconsumption and the linear economy, transitioning to a circular sustainable economy, and the five R’s for sustainability - refuse, reduce, reuse/repair, recycle, return to soil (compost).
