"My name is Marty Alvino, I am the Founder and Creative Director/Stylist at The Rose of Sharon AVEDA Salon. Even after 48 years as a stylist I am still in love with what I do. Sometimes it's hard to believe that over 30 years ago, I had a dream and with Gods help, The Rose of Sharon Salon was manifested. At "The Rose", family is our strong suit, not only with each other but with our guests... That's what makes us, "us". It's our commitment to making sure our friends and guests are treated like we all carry the same last name! Not only do I get to work with my two of my children but all of my staff who are like my family. To me that's my blessing... When I'm not behind the chair, I'm always in pursuit for any spiritual growth in order to maintain my creative abilities and to keep connected with those around around me. I enjoy a nice glass of wine, drawing and oh do I love to cook!!! Above all, to be with my family creating memories is what makes me most alive. There in the middle of it all, is my place."
