Rave-Worthy Redlands Restaurants (2024)
From date nights to family gatherings, make sure to check out these can’t-miss Redlands restaurants this year!
Assuming the rules of metropolis restaurant fare apply to the growing Redlands restaurant scene does no one any good. Life is undoubtedly different in the San Bernardino foothills. The city scene is slower (thankfully), offering the ideal mix of exceptional food and hometown welcome.
9 Redlands Restaurants Not to Miss in 2024
From the casual dinner out to the date-night-worthy escapade, you have a wide range of places to eat in Redlands from which to choose. The following are not listed in any particular order. Each is wonderful in its own way. We hope you have fun indulging.
1. The Three Stags Irish Pub and Restaurant
A relative newcomer to the Redlands restaurant scene (it opened in late 2023), The Three Stags Irish Pub and Restaurant has been an instant gem. Serving authentic Irish pub fare in a cozy, welcoming environment, it is the perfect place to converse with friends and family.
Menu favorites include Bangers & Mash, smothered in a succulent onion gravy. Love live music? Visit on Saturdays when they frequently host a band.
2. Batter Rebellion
A California fusion restaurant and bar, Batter Rebellion offers a little something for everyone — including healthy salads, hearty mains, and a fabulous kids menu. Do you love a good cocktail? They have you covered, too. Particularly delightful for brunch, the short rib hash and egg-topped burger don’t disappoint. Nor do the mimosa flights, which are an entertaining way to sip and toast!
3. Uncorked on State
Recognized as the best brunch in Redlands by locals, Uncorked on State is both swanky and welcoming. Unusual favorites, like homemade donuts and breakfast flatbread, will delight. But don’t assume it’s all sweet potato salads and early-morning charcuterie boards.
This brunch features hearty classics (think biscuits and gravy, an out-of-this-world breakfast sandwich, and a sun-dried tomato eggs Benedict) that will have you licking your plate clean. Those who don’t wake up early will also be able to enjoy this wine bar’s small bite fare and fabulous wine selection.
4. Cornerstone BBQ
The best BBQ in Redlands, Cornerstone BBQ offers an ultra-flavorful menu, including juicy brisket, tender ribs, and the most addicting burnt ends. And did we mention the ‘Meat Fries’—an insane main dish that loads perfectly cooked fries with your choice of meat, cheese, and sour cream?
Are you considering catering a party and having some vegan/vegetarian friends attend? Cornerstone’s catering menu also includes jackfruit!
5. La Volata Pizzeria
Offering a seasonally-driven menu, La Volata Pizza utilizes fresh produce from local farmers. Their woodfired, thin crust pizza is bubbly and crisp. (We highly recommend all seasonal offerings, such as the seasonal pasta and Winter Verdura.)
The ambiance here is dark and moody, worthy of a date night. The service is exceptional. In short, La Volata Pizzeria is a ca n’t-miss Redlands restaurant staple.
6. The Fat Greek
Made fresh daily, The Fat Greek in Yucaipa features authentic recipes passed down from generation to generation. Founded by brothers Nick and Chris, the authentic Greek cuisine tastes like a mini vacation. Well-known classics like Dolmades and Spanakopita do not disappoint. And for those who like their Greek cuisine with an inventive twist, look for selections like the California gyro and the fat Greek burger— featuring a ⅓ pound Angus patty and juicy gyro meat.
7. Oscars Mexican Restaurant
The oldest downtown Redlands Mexican restaurant, Oscars Mexican Restaurant offers fresh and bright flavors. In addition to classic Mexican fare, you’ll also find a large selection of vegetarian and vegan staples on the menu. (As an added bonus for vegetarians/vegans, no animal oils are used in the kitchen.)
The fish tacos and potato tacos are constant crowd-pleasers. This family-friendly restaurant also has a great kid’s menu!
8. Redlands Ranch Market
This is another must-visit Redlands restaurant for those who love Mexican food. Don’t let the lunch-counter-style service fool you. The Mexican kitchen at Redlands Ranch Market serves authentic flavors at reasonable prices!
The carnitas, chicharron, chili verde, and more have been passed down from generations. Love a fresh tortilla? They have an in-house Tortilleria that supplies their kitchen and sells tortillas to go! Family-owned in Redlands since 1996, the Taco Tuesday special is a staple in our eating-out routine.
9. Caprice Cafe
Calling all sweet tooths — Caprice Cafe is the dessert destination in Redlands. It was voted the best high-end daily desserts by Redlanders. It also features the largest collection of wine from all over the world in Redlands. What kind of sweets can you expect? Think buttermilk panna cotta, blood orange granita, and almond shortbread biscuit.
